How many times have you wondered, how can I actually be happy? I have found a not-so-secret solution of "self-love." What exactly does that mean? Self-love is the act of taking responsibility for yourself and taking loving action towards oneself.
Loving oneself encompasses all areas of life:
Loving ourselves is often a skill that we are not taught. In fact, we often times learn to do the OPPOSITE. By taking on too much, feeling guilty if we don't perform well, or abandoning our deepest needs or dreams, we often find it is the act of not loving ourselves that causes us the most harm.
Fortunately, there are ways to learn and practice self-love in our daily lives. The only prerequisite is the desire to learn to do so. You can go to any bookstore and find a "self-help" section. Maybe it's time we start creating a "self-love" section instead.
